ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has announced a series of exceptional facilitation measures for international participants attending the Islamabad Talks, underscoring Islamabad’s intent to ensure broad and seamless global engagement.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar revealed that all airlines have been formally directed to permit boarding for travellers heading to Pakistan in connection with the talks, even if they do not have a visa at the time of departure.

He further clarified that immigration authorities will issue visas on arrival once delegates land in the country. The move is designed to remove logistical hurdles and enable swift access for diplomats, officials and other stakeholders expected to participate in the high-level discussions.

Officials say the decision reflects Pakistan’s commitment to hosting an inclusive, well-attended and smoothly managed diplomatic event at a time of heightened international focus on the dialogue.

By relaxing entry requirements, authorities aim to encourage maximum participation and reinforce the country’s image as a proactive facilitator of global engagement.

The Islamabad Talks are expected to draw representatives from multiple countries, with discussions anticipated to centre on critical regional and international issues.

The government’s latest measures signal a strategic effort to ensure that administrative processes do not impede attendance at what is being seen as a significant diplomatic gathering.
