ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing military operations in Lebanon, which have tragically claimed hundreds of civilian lives and displaced nearly half a million people.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Foreign Office said, “The Israeli actions, which violate international law, are undermining the efforts of the Lebanese government to maintain peace and stability. They risk worsening the already severe security and humanitarian crises in the region.”
The statement called on the international community to act urgently to halt the aggression, end the indiscriminate targeting of civilians, and respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“We also call for Israel’s withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territories immediately, fully, and unconditionally,” it added.

Israeli attacks on Lebanon kill 486
Meanwhile, the humanitarian toll continues to rise. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that Israeli attacks since last Monday have killed 486 people and injured 1,313.
The Health Emergency Operations Centre confirmed that these casualties followed assaults launched since March 2, amid escalating regional tensions.
This latest escalation comes in the wake of a joint attack by Israel and the United States on Iran on February 28, which reportedly resulted in over 1,200 deaths, including that of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
