ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday strongly condemned the attack by Houthis on the Taibah power distribution station in Madinah on 29 September 2026.

“This reprehensible attack against civilian infrastructure supplying electricity to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque is a grave provocation and a matter of deep concern and anguish for millions of Muslims worldwide,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.

Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Malki, said on Thursday that a terrorist attack targeted the Taibah electricity distribution station in Madinah at 5:11 am on September 29, 2026.

He said an investigation by the competent authorities, supported by evidence including the wreckage of the drone used in the attack and an after-action review, confirmed the involvement of Houthis in planning and carrying out the attack.

Pakistan Foreign Office said the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques and the safety of worshippers and pilgrims must be respected under all circumstances.
