ISLAMABAD: A special ceremony was held in Islamabad to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, bringing together diplomats, officials, and cultural representatives to celebrate decades of bilateral cooperation.
Speakers at the event highlighted the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries and reflected on key milestones in relations spanning trade, infrastructure and economic development.
Former Pakistani prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf spoke about the evolution of bilateral ties and encouraged younger generations to further strengthen the historic friendship between Islamabad and Beijing.
Representatives from China State Construction Engineering Corporation highlighted major infrastructure projects completed in Pakistan under bilateral cooperation frameworks, including motorways, airports, and commercial developments aimed at improving connectivity and urban growth.
The event also featured cultural activities such as traditional Chinese paper-cutting and calligraphy workshops, with students from local institutions participating in interactive sessions promoting cultural understanding.
The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of a calligraphy plaque bearing the message “Long Live China-Pakistan Friendship,” followed by a cake-cutting ceremony marking the 75-year milestone.
Participants reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further expand cooperation in education, culture, infrastructure, and economic development under their strategic partnership.
