RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Armed Forces on Monday hosted a ceremony at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to commemorate the 104th anniversary of Turkish Armed Forces Victory Day, highlighting the longstanding bonds of brotherhood and defence cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye.
Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan İrfan Neziroğlu attended the ceremony as the Guest of Honour, which was also attended by military officers, officials from the Embassy of Turkiye and other distinguished guests, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a press release.
The ceremony highlighted the enduring bonds of brotherhood and close bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkiye, rooted in shared values, mutual respect and a history of unwavering support for each other, ISPR stated.

On the occasion, participants paid tribute to the valour and sacrifices of the Turkish Armed Forces and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding defence and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
The ceremony concluded with warm expressions of goodwill for the people and Armed Forces of Turkiye.
ISPR has also released a special song titled “Do Dil Ek Jaan” to celebrate the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye on Turkiye’s Victory Day, or Zafer Bayramı.
The song has received a warm response across major digital and social media platforms in Turkiye following its release.
Turkiye’s prominent broadcaster TRT shared the song on its social media platforms, highlighting the cultural ties between the two countries.
The Anadolu news agency also praised the song’s cultural presentation across its digital platforms in multiple languages.
Leading Turkish newspapers Şafak and Sabah featured the video on their digital platforms, highlighting the cultural blend between Pakistan and Turkiye.
Short clips of the song have also gained attention on YouTube, X, Instagram and TikTok, particularly for their fusion of traditional Pakistani and Turkish musical instruments.
