JEDDAH: The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the continued Israeli military actions in the occupied Palestinian territory, particularly attacks targeting health facilities, residential neighbourhoods, and tents sheltering displaced civilians in the Gaza Strip.
General Secretariat of the OIC, in a statement, also expressed deep concern over the ongoing expansion of Israeli settlement activities and the organised violence carried out by extremist settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces across the occupied West Bank.
The organisation called on the international community to take decisive action to end these violations and ensure accountability for those responsible.

Reaffirming its support for the ceasefire agreement, the OIC urged the international community to ensure that Israel fulfills its obligations and proceeds with the implementation of the agreement’s second phase in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
OIC calls for immediate opening of all border crossings
The OIC further called for the immediate opening of all border crossings, the unhindered and sufficient delivery of humanitarian assistance, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
It also stressed the importance of preserving the unity of the occupied Palestinian territory and enabling the Government of the State of Palestine to exercise its responsibilities throughout the entire territory, including the Gaza Strip.
UN denounces civilian killings in Gaza
The United Nations earlier on Monday condemned the continued killing of civilians in the Gaza Strip and stressed that health care facilities must be protected after a strike near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital damaged a medical storage facility.
UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported that the strike, which occurred on Saturday, destroyed essential medical supplies it had delivered and caused minor damage to the hospital building.
Haq said air strikes, shelling, and gunfire continued across Gaza over the weekend, reportedly killing dozens of people, including children and other civilians.
“We condemn all killings of civilians,” Haq told reporters, adding that health care facilities “must never be attacked or militarised.”

According to Palestinian health officials, two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike in the Sheikh Radwan area of Gaza City on Saturday. The Israeli military said those targeted were Hamas militants but did not provide further details.
In separate strikes, two warehouses near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, reportedly used to store medical supplies, were destroyed, according to local authorities. The attacks came amid uncertainty over whether Israel has accepted a proposed agreement with Hamas concerning the group’s disarmament.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that 150 fatalities were recorded during July, including dozens of civilians, making it the deadliest month of the year so far.
