SEOUL: North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un has called for an “exponential increase” in his country’s nuclear arms, state media reported on Sunday.

According to state-run media, Kim Jong Un said that they wanted to increase North Korea’s nuclear weapons including missiles for “nuclear counterstrikes”.

The official news agency KCNA reported that Kim made the remarks at the end of his party meeting. He told the meeting that North Korea would also “develop another intercontinental ballistic missile system whose key mission is to increase nuclear counterstrike”.
