BISHKEK: Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Sheikh Abdulaziz Zakirov has received today at the Religious Affairs Headquarters in Bishkek, the imam and khatib of the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Salah bin Muhammad Al-Budair, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA reported that during the meeting, attended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Ibrahim bin Radi Al-Radi, Mufti Zakirov lauded the leadership of Saudi Arabia for its efforts to serve Islam and Muslims across the world, and for facilitating services for pilgrims and Umrah performers, especially from Kyrgyzstan.
Sheikh Al-Budair has also emphasized the deep, strong, and strategic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Kyrgyzstan, commending Kyrgyzstan’s scholars for their dedication to spreading the peaceful message of Islam and their care for mosques and their staff, including imams as well as preachers.
The SPA further said that Al-Budair’s visit was part of the program for visits by the imams of the Two Holy Mosques, supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, in coordination with various governmental and global bodies.
