ISLAMABAD: Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has congratulated Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on the recent signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah spoke with Dar late Sunday night and conveyed his felicitations over the agreement, which was recently signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

During the telephone conversation, the two foreign ministers also exchanged views on the regional situation, including developments concerning Occupied East Jerusalem.
The discussion also covered Pakistan-Kuwait bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The two sides reviewed follow-up on Sheikh Jarrah’s recent visit to Pakistan and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was given to enhancing bilateral cooperation and promoting investment in key sectors, reflecting the two countries’ interest in expanding economic ties alongside their broader bilateral relationship.
The two ministers agreed to maintain close engagement and continue consultations on regional and bilateral matters of mutual interest.
The conversation comes as Pakistan continues diplomatic engagement with regional countries following the signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, while also seeking to deepen economic and investment cooperation with friendly states.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement was signed during the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defence held at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah.
