Kuwait Hails Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Hosting of GCC-ASEAN Summit

RIYADH: Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has hailed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) hosting of the summit in Riyadh between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

According to the SPA, in cables sent to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kuwaiti crown prince said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the GCC-ASEAN Summit consolidates its significant, essential role on the regional and global levels.

GCC-ASEAN Summit in Riyadh

He said that the hosting of the summit also shows Riyadh’s keenness to develop and expand cooperation and existing ties among participating nations in all sectors and to enhance talks on matters of mutual concern amid current global challenges.

Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber lauded the efforts that contributed to the success of the summit in Riyadh, hoping that fruitful talks and recommendations would succeed in deepening the Gulf-Asian partnership and building a prosperous future for their nations’ friendly and brotherly peoples.

He thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for the warm reception and generous hospitality that he and his delegation were offered, adding that this embodies the deep fraternal relations and solid historical ties binding the two nations and their brotherly people.
