The directives from North Korean leader Kim is coming at a time when Seoul and the United States are planning to hold joint military exercises. The holding of these annual exercise from the two countries is viewed as a threat from the North Korean side.
United States defence officials are of the opinion that North Korean leader’s directives on increasing the production of missiles and other tactical weapons come in wake of Russian Defence Minister talks who asked for more weapons against Ukraine in the ongoing war.
The reports from Korean Central News Agency mentioned the North Korean Supreme Commander set goals in his visit to different factories involved in production of tactical missiles, mobile launching platforms, armoured carriers and artillery shells.
The North Korean Supreme Commander also directed one of the missile factory to increase it production for the front-line units.

The North Korean leader also drove an armoured vehicle which is new in the production line.
Political observers are viewing the recent developments in North Korea as a result of failed diplomacy in 2019 when US had president Trump at the helm of affairs.

It is believed that there will be more missile test from North Korea when South Korea and United States conduct their joint military exercises.
North Korea believes the joint exercise in like an act of invasion while the other sides are refuting the claim.
