ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will undertake a five-day official visit to the United Kingdom from August 24 to 28, with the plight of Pakistani crew members held by Somali pirates aboard the MT Honour 25 oil tanker set to figure prominently in his high-level engagements.

During the visit, Ishaq Dar will hold meetings with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, FCDO Minister of State for Pakistan Stephen Doughty and other senior members of the British government.
Pakistani crew held by somali pirates to figure in talks
The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister will also meet the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization to discuss the issue of Pakistani crew members held by Somali pirates aboard the MT Honour 25 oil tanker.

He is also scheduled to meet Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
Ishaq Dar will further engage with British parliamentarians and representatives of the British-Pakistani community during his stay in the UK.
The Foreign Office said the visit would provide an opportunity for high-level engagement with the British government and other key stakeholders on bilateral and international matters.
The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister’s visit will continue until August 28.
