RIYADH: Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi has strongly condemned and denounced the Houthi attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and the attacks on civilian and vital facilities in Saudi Arabia.

The Iraqi PM made the remarks during a meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

Al-Zaidi described the attacks on the Kingdom as a threat to regional security and stability.

PM Al-Zaidi affirmed his government’s firm stance against allowing Iraqi territory to be used as a launchpad for any aggression or acts affecting the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region, and its commitment to the principles of good neighbourliness and respect for the sovereignty of the Kingdom and brotherly nations.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional developments and coordination of efforts to enhance the region’s security and stability.

They also reviewed Saudi-Iraqi relations, with the Crown Prince emphasising the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various fields, particularly security coordination.
