LAHORE: The Consul General of Iran in Lahore Mehran Movahed Far on Thursday emphasized the potential for collaboration between Iran, Pakistan, and China across various sectors, including energy and infrastructure projects.
During his visit to the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI), Movahed Far discussed trilateral relations and the possibilities for enhancing economic ties.
Movahed Far highlighted the strong relations between Iran and Pakistan and underscored the opportunity to transform these ties into strong business relationships for mutual economic gains. He called for delegations from China and Pakistan to explore business and investment prospects in Iran, assuring full support and cooperation from the Iranian Embassy.
Expressing gratitude for China’s and Pakistan’s support on the international stage, Movahed Far pledged his commitment to further strengthen trade and economic bonds among the three nations.

Ali Raza Rizvi, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Diplomatic & Government Relations and Gwadar Tourism Promotion & CPEC Projects at PCJCCI, highlighted that the bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran currently amounts to US$293.18 million, with Pakistan’s exports to Iran totaling US$32.29 million and imports from Iran at US$260.89 million. Imports from Iran to Pakistan include electrical machinery, minerals, oil, organic chemicals, iron, and steel.
Moazzam Ghurki, President of PCJCCI, stressed the importance of promoting trade and economic ties to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for all three countries.
Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI, welcomed Iranian counterparts to promote trilateral trade relations. He also emphasized PCJCCI’s objective to enhance regional connectivity through the expansion of bilateral and trilateral trade relations among the countries.
The meeting at the PCJCCI Secretariat was attended by executive committee members and prominent business leaders from both Pakistan and China.
