“For the first time in the history of the HBL PSL, a separate reward has been set for the franchises, with the winning franchise getting USD 500,000, runners up will get USD 300,000, while the franchise with the best player development efforts will bag USD 200,000. The initiative follows PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s earlier announcement outlining plans to enhance financial incentives for franchises as part of the league’s continued growth.
The PSL 11 final is set to take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where 2017 champions Peshawar Zalmi will face tournament debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen.
Zalmi secured their place in the final after defeating Islamabad United in the Qualifier, while Kingsmen advanced through the Eliminators after wins against Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings.
The two teams previously met during the league stage, with Zalmi emerging victorious in a closely contested last-ball encounter.
