ISLAMABAD: As we look ahead into the upcoming 12 hours, the meteorological landscape reveals a pattern of predominantly hot and humid conditions expected to envelop most of the country’s plain areas.

However, a contrasting scene is set to unfold in select regions, where a symphony of rain, wind, and thundershowers is poised to grace the landscape.

Diving into the specifics, the northeastern reaches of Punjab, the Pothohar region, the upper expanse of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as the scenic locales of Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir, are all poised to witness this meteorological performance. Isolated in nature yet impactful, this dynamic weather dance promises to offer respite from the sweltering heat in these regions.

Taking a glance at the thermometer’s verdict from this morning, the temperature report from several key cities paints an intriguing picture. The thermometer in Islamabad and Muzaffarabad stood steadfast at twenty-five degrees centigrade, while Lahore felt the embrace of thirty degrees. Karachi, a coastal city, saw its temperature hover around the twenty-seven-degree mark. Further west, Quetta’s temperature was recorded at a comfortable nineteen degrees, while Gilgit experienced a slightly cooler twenty degrees. Murree, known for its picturesque charm, greeted the day with a temperature of seventeen degrees centigrade.

Turning our attention to the forecasts for the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the meteorological canvas takes on a slightly different hue. The forthcoming weather in this region promises a play of partly cloudy skies, interspersed with a chance of rain, wind, and thundershowers in places like Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, and Baramula. Meanwhile, Leh, Anantnag, and Shopian are set to experience a partial veil of clouds, adding an artistic touch to the atmosphere.

As the sun rose in this part of the world, the thermometer’s early verdict came in. Srinagar and Anantnag shared a temperature of nineteen degrees centigrade, while Jammu registered a relatively warmer twenty-six degrees. Leh, nestled amidst the mountains, recorded a temperature of thirteen degrees, offering a refreshing chill. Meanwhile, the trio of Pulwama, Shopian, and Baramula found themselves in harmony with the mercury, sharing an eighteen-degree reading.
