RIYADH: The HealthTech Innovation Summit and Expo in Riyadh, was held from June 5 to 6, brought together experts, service providers, and students, displaying innovative technology that pledges to enhance the quality of healthcare.

During the summit, healthcare innovators, professionals, investors and entrepreneurs were given an opportunity to investigate into the future of the medical and health field by spotlighting smart devices, artificial intelligence, diagnostics, precision medicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics, medical imaging, innovation, virtual reality, and medical entrepreneurship.
SyncVR Medical, one of the many firms to display at the expo, gives an all-in-one application platform that can be helpful for patients. From hardware to software, its products suggest treatments for pain anxiety, rehabilitation, stress reduction, and medical education via immersive simulations.
In an interview with Floris Van Der Breggen, Chief Executive Officer of SyncVR Medical said that VR can contribute a lot for the society. Originally installed in one hospital in Holland, SyncVR Medical supplies over 200 hospitals in Europe with its technology and aims to be the largest technological platform for extended healthcare in the region. The firm’s presence at HealthTech came with the intention to expand into the middle east. The CEO said that people want to utilize this technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Dr. Bahjat Fakieh of the King Abdulaziz University said that before Saudi Arabia adapts new instruments to healthcare practices, the system itself needs some work.
