GAZA: Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian group Hamas on Tuesday said it targeted the Tel Aviv city of Israeli city and its suburbs with two “M90″ rockets.

“A short time ago, one launch was detected that crossed the territory of the Gaza Strip and fell into the maritime space in the center of the country. No policy alerts were triggered. At the same time, another launch was detected that did not cross into Israel,” said the Israeli Air Force.

According to local media, explosions were heard in Tel Aviv but there were no casualties were reported.

Hamas is sticking to its demand that Gaza peace talks must focus on a deal already discussed with mediators and Israel. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes killed 19 Palestinians in the central and southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

Earlier, the US said that it expected peace talks slated for Thursday to go ahead as scheduled and that a ceasefire deal was still possible. Western media reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken planned to set off on Tuesday for discussions in Qatar, Egypt and Israel.

The Israeli government said it would send a delegation for talks on Thursday, but Hamas sought a workable plan to implement a proposal it has already agreed on rather than more discussions.

Meanwhile, the Gaza health ministry said that Israel’s war on Gaza, now in its 312th day, has killed at least 39,929 Palestinians mostly women and children. It said over 92,240 Palestinians were also injured in the war, with 10,000 estimated to be buried under rubble.
