England Women Sweep T20I Series Against Hosts West Indies 5-0

ISLAMABAD: West Indian women’s cricket team bundled at 43 runs in the last match of the five matches T-Twenty International series, it’s the lowest total in the history of T20 games. The England women’s team grabbed a massive win to sweep the 5-match series in Bridgetown against host West Indies.

Winners wasted only 16.2 overs to book the opponents at the lowest target. Freya Davies and Alice Davidson-Richards snared three batters each, while Charlie Dean took two wickets. England reached the 44 targets in 5.3 overs.

At one stage, the hosts scored only 24 in 9.1 overs after losing their 6 batters, they were 30 for 8 when Davidson-Richards did the damage by getting the wickets of Afy Fletcher, and Djenaba Joseph (11) was the top scorer. Davidson-Richards and Davies then packed the tail to return combined figures of 6 for 7.

The England openers aggregated just 22 runs for the first wicket between Danni Wyatt and Sophia Dunkley. Both batters wasted their wickets, as the Dunkley and Wyatt later fell, but Sciver finished the game off with a flourish, hitting three fours in her 12-ball 20 not out. Davies was declared player of the match.
