ISLAMABAD: Following the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s refusal to travel to India over security concerns, the International Cricket Council has replaced them with Scotland for the 2026 T20 World Cup and issued a revised tournament schedule.
Scotland will inherit Bangladesh’s original fixture list in Group C, which features former champions England and the West Indies, alongside Nepal and Italy.
Their campaign will begin with a formidable challenge against the two-time T20 World Cup champion West Indies on February 7 at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
The revised groups see the twenty teams divided into four pools of five. The top two sides from each group will advance to the ‘Super Eights’ stage, with the top two from each of those groups progressing to the semi-finals.
