LOS ANGELES: Disney has unveiled the first teaser for “Avengers: Infinity Defence,” a major new Marvel attraction planned for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
The first look was revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, where the entertainment giant showcased several upcoming attractions and experiences for its theme parks.
The new attraction will feature several familiar Marvel stars, with Robert Downey Jr. returning as Iron Man, alongside Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Iman Vellani will also reprise her role as Ms. Marvel, who will help launch the mission.

Downey Jr.’s return is particularly notable, as he will once again portray Tony Stark/Iron Man—this time as part of a theme-park experience rather than a new Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
Visitors Join the Avengers
“Avengers: Infinity Defence” will place guests at the centre of an action-packed Marvel adventure, casting them as newly recruited heroes who join the Avengers on a mission across multiple worlds.
According to Disney, guests will help the Avengers battle King Thanos and recover stolen Stark technology. The experience is expected to take visitors to iconic Marvel-inspired locations, including New York City, Wakanda, and Asgard.
Ms. Marvel will reportedly brief guests on their mission before they are drawn into the larger battle alongside the Avengers.
Iron Man Returns to Action
Downey Jr.’s appearance as Iron Man adds an intriguing twist to the attraction. Tony Stark sacrificed himself during the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” but the theme-park experience gives fans another opportunity to see Downey Jr. in the iconic role alongside other members of the Avengers.
The actor is also set to return to the Marvel universe on the big screen as Doctor Doom in “Avengers: Doomsday,” giving his latest Iron Man appearance an added layer of significance for Marvel fans.
