RIYADH: The 16th edition of the International Defense Conference started on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, UAE with seventeen speakers, including ministers, global leaders, and senior officials, to discuss social and economic impacts and challenges of new technologies in the defense field.

The theme of the event is “Adaption, Transformation Exploration: Reimagining Security, Society, and Human Experience in an Age of Disruption.”
The conference is organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Co., the UAE’s Ministry of Defense and security acquisitions authority.
The conference expects to host more than 1,800 participants, reflecting a 25 % increase from the last event. The discussions touched upon matters relating to human capital management, talent development and the impact of new technologies on modern operations, and the future of warfare.
“The current edition is likely to attract over 130,000 visitors, including decision-makers, VIPs, and specialists from all across the world,” said MD of ADNEC Group Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri.
He said that the number of participating nations has increased with a growth rate of ten percent compared to the last edition.
