LAHORE, Pakistan: Former New Zealand Test cricketer and ICC Elite Panel match referee Jeffrey Crowe has been appointed to lead the playing control team for the upcoming ODI tri-series involving Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka.
The ICC announced the match officials’ panel for 12 international matches scheduled from October 9 to November 21, covering a three-match T20I series, a seven-match ODI tri-series and a two-Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Crowe to oversee ODI tri-series
Crowe will serve as match referee for all seven matches of the ODI tri-series, which will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from October 18 to October 31.
The former New Zealand Test player made his referee debut in October 2004 during the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test match in Faisalabad. Earlier this month, he became the second official to oversee 700 international matches as a referee.

The ODI tri-series will feature Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka, with the final scheduled for October 31 in Lahore.
Umpiring panel announced
ICC Elite Panel umpires Ahsan Raza and Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, along with international panel umpires Wayne Knights, Asif Yaqoob, Nasir Hussain, Rashid Riaz Waqar and Faisal Khan Aafreedi, will handle umpiring duties during the ODI competition.
Wayne Knights and Asif Yaqoob will officiate the opening match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, while Sharfuddoula will begin duties as third umpire.
T20I and Test officials confirmed
Ali Naqvi has been appointed match referee for Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, scheduled for October 9, 11 and 13 in Rawalpindi.
For the two-match Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Dean Cosker will lead the playing control team. The Tests will take place in Rawalpindi from November 9-13 and Lahore from November 17-21.
ICC Elite Panel umpires Adrian Holdstock, Allahuddien Palekar and Rodney Tucker will officiate the Test matches.
The 12-match international schedule will begin with the T20I series before moving into the ODI tri-series and concluding with the World Test Championship fixtures.
