BEIJING: In the face of the escalating Israeli-Palestinian conflict, China has reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and efforts to promote dialogue and restore peace in the region.

She commended Egypt’s efforts in de-escalating the tensions, underscoring the importance and timeliness of the ongoing summit amid the current crisis.
At the summit, the Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Zhai Jun conveyed China’s position. China Expresses Concern Over Israeli Brutalities
Expressing deep concern, Mao Ning stated that China is saddened by the heavy civilian casualties and the deteriorating humanitarian situation caused by the conflict. She emphasized that perpetuating violence will only lead to a vicious cycle. The most urgent priority, she asserted, is to cease hostilities immediately. All parties involved should adhere to international law and humanitarian principles, protecting civilians and preventing a further humanitarian catastrophe.
Mao Ning urged the international community to provide increased humanitarian assistance to the people in Gaza, aiming to alleviate the dire humanitarian disaster they are currently facing.
