ISLAMABAD: Belarus is quite eager to explore new avenues of cooperation with Pakistan, said Second Secretary Embassy of Belarus in Pakistan, Maksim Kerdzialevich.
In an informal talk with WE News, he said both nations can come further close to each other by opening new avenues of mutual cooperation, including in the fields of trade.
The Republic of Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe and is bordered by Russia to the east and northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest.
Relations Between Belarus and Pakistan
Commenting on relations with Pakistan, the Belarusian dignitary recalled that the leadership from the two sides met twice in 2022 in Dushanbe and Astana and hoped for more such meetings in the future.
To a question, he said Belarus exports tractors, fertilizers, medical products, tires, dairy products, baby nutrition and toys, flax yarn, fiber, and pharmaceuticals to Pakistan, while his country largely imports sports, medicines, rice, textile, leather, and other products from Pakistan. He hoped that the two sides would further enhance the trade, particularly in pharmaceuticals.
Maksim, who visited the WE News office, was of the view that Pakistan and Belarus could move forward jointly for the progress and prosperity of both nations. He appreciated the digital media organization for its dedication and commitment to free and fair reporting of facts from across the globe.
