CAIRO: Arab League chief Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Wednesday met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh and discussed the results of a recent summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on matters relating to Palestine, Arab media reported. According to Saudi Press Agency, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh arrived in Cairo and held a meeting with the Secretary General of Arab League.

The two sides also discussed Arab world efforts to promote further global support for the recognition of the Palestinian state. During the meeting, the two leaders also agreed on the significance of working through diplomatic means to highlight the Israeli government’s tactic to dealing with Palestinian problems and issues.
