ISLAMABAD: An alleged suicide bomber exploded himself during security forces’ intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan tribal district on Friday.
The security forces cordoned off the area at Spinkai, South Waziristan after receiving information that a suicide bomber had arrived from Logar, Afghanistan.
Meanwhile an exchange of fire started between the security forces and the bomber, identified as Rehman Mehsud Alias Nekro.
As the terrorist sensed his misfortune, he exploded his vest to kill himself.
Terrorist came to South Waziristan from Afghanistan
The slain terrorist had come to Pakistan from neighboring Afghanistan and was involved in several attacks on the security forces.
He was a close ally of the banned terrorist outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’s (TPP) commanders Azmat Ullah aka Lala and Khairban aka Khairu.
The security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
