JEDDAH: Al-Balad, the old part of Jeddah, has been put forward for the Wanderlust Travel Award’s “Most Desirable City – Rest of World” category, according to the official news agency SPA.
The 22-year-old awards programme recognises what it considers to be the best travel experiences and locations across a range of categories, including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, and more.
The nomination highlights Al-Balad’s prominence as a top-tier heritage site and is considered as acknowledgement from the travel industry.
The 24 award categories are up for vote until October 18.
