ISLAMABAD: After the US President’s controversial statement, strong Pakistani reaction was the top trend on social media.

The US president had said that Pakistan is one of the ‘most dangerous’ nations which has ‘nuclear weapons without any cohesion’. Joe Biden’s statement has created a diplomatic and political stir in Pakistan. Based on his narrative, former Prime Minister Imran Khan is still sticking to the statement of the change of government by the United States.

Imran Khan, while criticizing the current coalition government, said that President Biden’s statement “shows the complete failure of the imported government’s foreign policy and claims that Pakistan’s relations with the United States is rebuilding.”

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “I suspect that this was not an address to the nation but an informal conversation that has come out. An opportunity will be given to explain the statement.”

Former Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry believes that calling Pakistan’s nuclear weapons programme unorganized is “false and completely contrary to the facts.” America itself has supported Pakistan’s nuclear programme on several occasions,” he said.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has expressed a strong reaction to US President Joe Biden’s statement. Speaking at the Mufti Mahmood conference in Islamabad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that who is America talking about our nuclear assets and stopping us.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari rejected the US President’s statement and said that Pakistan’s nuclear assets are fully protected and in accordance with international laws.
