The US called Russia’s decision to pull out of a pact to securely transfer grain from war-torn Ukraine “unconscionable,” claiming it will raise food costs for the world’s poor.
“Russia’s action today weaponizing food… will make food harder to come by in places that desperately need it, and prices will rise,” stated US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. “The bottom line is, it’s unconscionable,” added Blinken.
