BANGKOK: The Chinese embassy in Thailand said on Monday that two Chinese tourists are being treated in the hospital but in stable condition after a bus accident in Thailand.
The bus overturned on Sunday afternoon due to heavy rain and slick roads while transporting 24 Chinese visitors from the eastern Rayong Province to the resort city of Pattaya, according to the embassy. Passengers who sustained injuries were taken immediately to a nearby hospital for care. Only two patients have been receiving medical attention on Monday morning at the hospital; the others had been discharged.
According to Thai media sources, four passengers on the bus were initially stuck inside the vehicle following the collision but were eventually rescued by the rescue staff. The neighbourhood police announced that they would continue to look into the causes of the accident. —APP
