MOSCOW: The Kremlin has said that leaders of UAE and Russia held a phone talk and discussed the Wagner Mutiny and matters of mutual interest, Arab media reported on Monday.

According to the Kremlin and UAE’s state-run news agency, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahayan was interested in hearing an evaluation of the situation in the country in connection with the Wagner mutiny on June 24.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahayan declared complete support for the actions of the Russian leadership after receiving complete information about the development, state media reported. UAE’s state-run news agency WAM added that the two leaders also discussed bilateral ties and reaffirmed the need to preserve the stability of Russia and the protection of its citizens.
