Selena Gomez discloses mental health issues

Hollywood celebrity Salena Gomez has disclosed particulars about her personal life in the first official trailer for the upcoming documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me. The documentary, set to be premiered on Apple TV+ on November 4, narrates her struggle and promotion to stardom.

About one in 8 people struggle with mental health issues, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Gomez has also been vocal about her struggles with mental health. In 2014, she was diagnosed with lupus and had to undergo mental health treatment. Due to complications with lupus, she also underwent a kidney transplant in 2017. Furthermore, in 2020, the star was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

“Everything that I have gone through, it’s going to be there. I’m just making it my friend now,” says the star in the trailer released on World Mental Health Day in support of global mental health education and awareness. It is pertinent to mention that more than 70% of people in high-income countries have access to mental health treatment. However, the number drops to a shocking 12% for low-income nations, according to the WHO.
