JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its satisfaction on Sunday with the announcement made following the successful meetings of the Joint Committee, composed of representatives from the Libyan House of Representatives and the High Council of State (6 + 6), held in Bouznika, Morocco.
The committee focused on the formulation of regulations for upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections. The OIC commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco in facilitating consensus among the Libyan parties.
The General Secretariat of the OIC acknowledged the significance of this development and expressed hope that it would pave the way for the organization of inclusive and transparent elections that align with the aspirations of the Libyan people.
