RAWALPINDI: Three Pakistan army soldiers were martyred and three terrorists killed during exchange of fire that took place between own troops and terrorists in the general area Miran Shah, North Waziristan District in night between June 9 and June 10.
According to the army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and three terrorists were killed and four others injured. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, the ISPR said.
According to the ISPR, during the intense exchange of fire, Subedar Asghar Ali, 40, and a resident of Lakki Marwat, Sepoy Naseem Khan, 26 and a resident of Lakki Marwat and Sepoy Muhammad Zaman, 22, and a resident of Abbottabad embraced shahadat.
The ISPR said that sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
“The armed forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
