DUBAI: Local officials said on Wednesday that Police personnel in Dubai have arrested a number of Israelis over an attack that led to the death of a fellow compatriot.
Police officials said it has arrested a number of Israelis following they attacked and caused the death of another Israeli man. It added that the accused will be sent to the Dubai Public Prosecution for further legal process. However, the police did not provide more details and information in this regard.
Israelis Arrested in UAE
The conditions behind the incident remain unclear, but such crimes are very rare in the UAE’ main tourist center, which prides itself on security and safety.
A spokesperson for Israel’s ministry of foreign affairs said “An Israeli was stabbed to death today in Dubai, UAE. It added that the matter is being investigated by the local authorities in UAE.
The UAE has allowed hundreds of Israelis as both visitors and residents since the two sides in 2020 inked a US-brokered agreement establishing relations.
