LAHORE: Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s house in Gujrat was raided by police during the early hours of Tuesday morning, local media reported. Reports said that the house of the former Chief Minister in Gujrat was searched by the police personnel.

His son Moonis Elahi alleged that the police carried no search warrant to conduct the raid in his house.
He told the media that the Punjab police had carried out a similar search on his father’s house in the past. He had asked the household staff to allow police access to the premises.

However, the police officials reportedly entered the house by jumping over the walls. The police officials claimed that their repeated door knocks went unanswered, compelling them to enter the house.
The officials have not disclosed the reason for the raid. Police said that the person they were looking for was not present at the house.
