U.S. Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on Friday that the decision to give Ukraine with 31 upgraded M1A2 Abrams tanks will make a difference in the fight but is no silver bullet.
It’s not only the Abrams tanks that the US is sending to Ukraine, but the entire force, says a top US general.
Milley’s comments came as the United States revealed that it will be sending Abrams tanks to Germany in the coming weeks in order to train Ukrainian troops.
I know I’m biassed, but the M1 tank really is the greatest tank ever built. After a meeting of Ukraine’s allies at Germany’s Ramstein Air Base, U.S. General Mark Milley said, “I do think the M1 tank, when it is delivered, will make a difference.” However, I must warn that “there is no magic bullet in war.”
