ISLAMABAD: The Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf, on Tuesday met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Nawaf bin Said Al-Malkiy, at the Parliament House in Islamabad. During the meeting, the two leaders expressed their commitment to further strengthen the fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf highlighted the strong and deeply rooted ties between the two countries based on shared religion, culture, traditions, and mutual goodwill.
He emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral trade and cooperation in different spheres for mutual interest, which would be mutually beneficial.
The Speaker also expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s contributions to Pakistan’s social and economic development.
Cordial relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia
Furthermore, Speaker Ashraf stressed the significance of parliamentary exchanges between the two countries in improving brotherly relations.
He stated that Pakistan’s Parliament has always been proactive in this regard and that it would further boost bilateral relations between the countries.
Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki assured the Speaker of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to its deep-rooted ties with Pakistan, considering it a sincere friend.
He appreciated the role of Pakistani expatriates in the economic development of Saudi Arabia and promised to continue cooperating in the social sector in Pakistan.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the current level of cooperation in diverse areas and emphasized the need to further strengthen mutual ties.
The renewed commitment to enhancing cordial relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia through parliamentary exchanges is expected to pave the way for increased cooperation in various fields, ultimately benefiting the people of both countries.
