LAHORE: In a fiery speech on Sunday, Maryam Nawaz, the chief organizer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), demanded action against former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan under Article 6 for allegedly abrogating the Constitution and trampling the country’s laws and Constitution.
Speaking at a gathering of PML-N’s lawyers wing in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz accused Imran Khan of dissolving both provincial assemblies to spread chaos in the country and alleged that the judiciary was giving preferential treatment to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
Nawaz stated that elections were the only solution to political stability and declared that the PML-N was not afraid of them. She criticized the Election Commission’s decision in the prohibited funding case, claiming that there was irrefutable evidence, yet no court had taken action against Khan.
Maryam Nawaz further alleged that certain people in the Lahore High Court were facilitating Khan and warned that if information about them were to come out, it would create chaos.
Maryam Nawaz also questioned the delay in provincial elections and called out Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi’s note to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for a suo motu notice, stating that judges must not be allowed to be corrupt or sold out.

Maryam Nawaz accuses Imran Khan of being launched by foreign powers
The PML-N leader accused Khan of being launched by foreign superpowers to create chaos and anarchy and warned that the state must forcefully stop him.
Maryam Nawaz took potshots at Imran Khan, saying he had brazenly flouted the law and did not honor the judiciary when it summoned him.
She compared him to Nawaz Sharif, who was ousted on the basis of an expired iqama. Nawaz also alleged that General Bajwa had said judges make decisions on their wives’ suggestions and that the families of former Chief Justices of Pakistan Justice Khosa and Nisar knew about the Panama verdict before it was announced.
Maryam Nawaz urged the lawyers to support her party and her father, Nawaz Sharif, in the crisis situation and criticized the PML-N’s dependence on the establishment and judiciary for various appointments.
She accused the party of trying to make the army chief’s appointment controversial and claimed that they were banking on the remnants of the former establishment to save them.
