NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Thursday held meeting with the President of the UN General Assembly ahead of Friday’s high-level meeting to commemorate the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.

The meeting will discuss means and ways to deal with growing Islamophobia, as emphasized in the 2020 Assembly resolution entitling March 15 as a world day to combat the phenomenon of Islamophobia. The meeting was co-convened by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and the General Assembly president.
According to APP, the President of the UN General Assembly congratulated Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the successful meeting Pakistan hosted on ‘Women in Islam’ on Wednesday. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister thanked the president of UNGA for his participation in the conference. They also exchanged views about the next 2023 UN Water Conference. Reports said the conference will be held at UN Headquarters from March 22-24.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured the UN General Assembly President of his country complete support as the water was an issue of importance to Pakistan.
