RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan said on Thursday said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is ready to play a role of mediator between the parties to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Speaking during an official trip to Russia, Saudi Minister affirmed his government support for all efforts to find a political settlement to the crisis in Ukraine, Al-Ekhbariya reported. He also discussed strategic cooperation and historic friendship between Riyadh and Moscow during a meeting in Moscow. The two sides discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in diverse fields. The two top diplomats also discussed matters of mutual concerns during the meeting. An official session of dialogue was also held during which the depth of ties between Riyadh and Moscow was emphasized, and the significance of continuing coordination, consultation, and cooperation between the two sides.
Russian Foreign Minister lauded the KSA’s efforts toward global and regional peace, particularly with regard to the crisis in Ukraine and Yemen.
