Six Terrorists Killed in North Waziristan Operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The security forces on Wednesday eliminated six militants in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Datakhel area of North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

According to ISPR, the terrorists were killed during an intense exchange of fire with security forces on March 8.

The forces also recovered ammunition and weapons from the killed terrorists, ISPR stated.

The dead terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against civilians and security forces, the military’s media wing said.

“Locals of the area lauded the security forces’ response and expressed their complete support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the area,” the press release added.

Last week, one terrorist was killed during the security forces’ operation in North Waziristan. The terrorist was killed after an intense fire exchange with security forces.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorist, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces, and the killing of innocent citizens, ISPR said.
