GAZA: The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 74,396, while 175,449 people have been injured since Israel launched its military offensive in the Palestinian enclave in October 2023, according to figures reported on Thursday.

Four people were killed and nine others injured in an Israeli bombing on Thursday, Palestinian health authorities said.

Since a US-mediated ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was agreed upon in October 2025, a further 1,505 people have been killed and 5,332 injured in Gaza.

Authorities have also recovered the bodies of 838 people during this period, while thousands are believed to remain buried beneath the rubble.

According to the United Nations, Israeli actions have confined Gaza’s population of approximately two million people to around 30 percent of the territory.

Israel is also facing allegations of war crimes and genocide in proceedings before the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in connection with its actions in the Palestinian territories.

Israel details 2,000 Palestinian children since 2023: report

Israel has arrested more than 2,000 Palestinian children since the start of its genocidal war on Gaza, with at least 350 still in detention under harsh conditions, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a report on Wednesday.

The non-governmental organisation added that the Israeli army arrested six children overnight in the towns of Sa’ir and Al-Shuyukh in the Hebron governorate of the occupied West Bank.

The organisation’s monitoring and documentation indicated that “more than 2,000 children have been arrested since the start of the genocide in October 2023, while at least 350 remain in detention under harsh conditions,” it said.

The group warned of an escalation in the targeting of Palestinian children through practices including intimidation, arrest, torture, starvation, isolation and denial of health care.

It added that information on the number of children detained from Gaza since the start of the war remains incomplete, particularly amid the presence of thousands of missing people in the enclave, including children, and the continued practice of “enforced disappearance.”
