MOSCOW: While criticizing the West, Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused NATO member states of participating in the Ukraine war by donating arms to the country and maintained the West planned to break up Russia.
“They are sending billions of dollars in weapons to Ukraine. This really is taking part in the conflict,” the Russian President told the Rossiya-1 channel in an interview aired on Sunday.
“This means that they are participating in the conflict, albeit indirectly, in the crimes being carried out by the Ukrainian government,” Putin said.
Putin alleges West want to destroy Russia
He said Western nations had “a single objective — to destroy the former Soviet Union and its central part — the Russian Federation.”
“Only then they maybe accept us in the so-called family of civilized peoples, but every part separately, not as united.”
Putin was talking on the sidelines of a patriotic concert in the capital city on Thursday on the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale offensive launch in neighbouring Ukraine.
In the interview, Putin also reaffirmed his calls for a multipolar world and maintained undoubtedly, this would happen.
“What are we against? Against the reality that this new world that is taking shape is being built just in the interests of only one country, the United States (US).”
