LAHORE: In a crackdown against militants, the Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested seven terrorists during Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) in different areas of Punjab province.
Acting on tip-off information about the terrorists’ presence, CTD conducted raids in parts of Lahore and other cities.
CTD Punjab recovers suicide vests, weapons, and explosives
CTD claimed the terrorist belonged to the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The force informed that suicide vests, weapons, and explosives had been recovered from their possession.
The CTD claimed that the arrested terrorists were wanted to attack on sensitive installations in Pakistan.
Following the arrest, cases were lodged against the terrorists, with an investigation underway.
