KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United will face off today (Friday) in the 13th match of the Pakistan Super League season eight at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.
With their second win of the season yesterday, the former two-time champions clinched the second spot in the points table, just under Multan Sultans, who are at the top with eight points. Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi stand third and fourth with four points each, while Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators are in the fifth and sixth spots with two points each.
United ease pass Zalmi by six wickets in match 12
Islamabad United eased through Peshawar Zalmi by six wickets in the 12th match of PSL 8 on Thursday. Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 31-ball 62 was instrumental for United as they easily chased Zalmi’s 157-run target with six wickets and 31 balls to spare.
Earlier, Peshawar started the innings in an impressive manner, scoring 69 runs in the powerplay without any loss. However, after losing two wickets they quickly slumped from 81/2 in eight overs to 156/8 in 20. Hassan Ali was awarded the Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling spell of 3/35.
