ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Ishaq Dar on Wednesday stressed the need to further consolidate relations with the United States.
US ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome called on the finance minister here in Islamabad. The two discussed matters of bilateral relations and mutual interest.
Finance Minister welcomed the envoy and shared the economic policies of the government to address the challenging economic situation and set the economy on the trajectory path.
Dar informed the US envoy about the pragmatic plans of the government related to revenues and expenditures to meet the national as well as international financial obligations of the country.
They spoke about various economic avenues where both countries can further consolidate their economic ties.
On the occasion, the US envoy said that both countries enjoy good relations and expressed confidence in the policies and programs of the government for economic sustainability and socio-economic uplift of the masses.
