MULTAN: Islamabad United won the toss and chose to bowl first against Multan Sultans as the two teams face off in the seventh match of the Pakistan Super League season eight at the Multan Cricket Stadium today (Sunday).

It will be the second fixture of the tournament for the two-time champions Islamabad United who previously eased through Karachi Kings in match four. Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan’s Sultans, who will be playing their fourth match of the season, clinched back-to-back victories against Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi after getting beaten by Lahore Qalandars in the opener.

Karachi Kings will take on Lahore Qalandars at their home ground in match eight tonight.

Quetta Gladiators ease through Karachi Kings in sixth match

Quetta Gladiators won by six runs against Karachi Kings in match six at the National Bank Cricket Arena on Saturday thanks to Martin Guptill’s remarkable century – the first of PSL 8.

Earlier, Quetta Gladiators set a 169-run target after Karachi Kings won the toss and chose to field first.

Gladiators handed over Kings their third straight defeat of the season as the 36-year-old New Zealander racked up the joint-second highest individual score in PSL history with 117 runs off 67 balls. Later on, Shoaib Malik made a praise-worthy 49-ball 71 fighting effort for Karachi but could not save his team from defeat.
