RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has sent relief items including food to quake hit people in Turkiye and Syria.
The first relief airplane of Saudi Arabia has arrived at Adana Airport today, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid said on Thursday. It added that the second plane carrying 98 tons of relief items including blankets, food baskets, and tents also reached in Turkiye.
KSA launches drive to support quakes affected people in Turkiye, Syria
Earlier, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid also launched a drive to support quakes affected people in Syria and Turkiye on Monday. Top officials of the King Salman Center for Relief Abdullah Al-Rabeeah said on Wednesday they are launching the campaign for the earthquake victims in Turkiye and Syria. He added that the KSA’s relief center in partnership with Saudi authorities is providing support everyone affected individual.
He maintained that the Saudi drive will collect donations via Sahem donation website portal. The citizens of Saudi Arabia can also donate by direct transfer to KSrelief’s bank accounts.

He said that they have received than SR13 million in funds to support quake-hit people in Syria and Turkiye. He said that they are ensuring that via this drive many projects in several sectors will be implemented within upcoming hours.
“Medical items, foods and tents will be supplied via the airlift, along with rescue workers and teams traveling to quake-affected parts of the two countries to rescue the lives of the wounded.”
